WHAT MAKES THE UKE ‘MAGIC?’
For me…the appeal of the uke is its INCLUSIVITY and commomnality and it needn’t be expensive. Beginners ukes start from say £12.00 upwards (18.00 USD) I myself play a cheap soprano uke by Mahalo and I love it! Great tone, great size to play, lightweight, easy to store and carry. Expensive handmade models in the UK can be from £700 up to and over £1000.00 USD = 1,567.00 (phew!)
WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOURS?
Are you a solo player or have you formed a band, or joined a uke club? Drop me a line and let me know.
WHAT MAKES ‘MOST’ UKE PLAYERS A DIFFERENT BREED
With the exception of a few folk who are definitely disappearing up their own orifice, most uke players are sociable, gregarious characters with a penchant for sharing their knowledge and not being snooty or stand-offish!
That’s what I meant when I said the uke was an inclusive instrument. You are welcomed and accepted into the uke fold no matter what level / standard of player you are, no matter what gender or age! So there you have it. Get out and buy yourself one now and join the fastest growing family & social club in the world…uke players!
